AIAM Welcomes Washtenaw Community College as New Member

The Aerospace Industry Association of Michigan is excited to announce that it has added Washtenaw Community College as a new member! “Washtenaw Community College was established in 1965, when Washtenaw County voters passed a millage to provide financial support for a countywide community college. WCC opened with a 6-member Board of Trustees, a newly-appointed president, and a parcel land in Ann Arbor Superior Townships. Classes started in September 1966 on a temporary campus at Willow Run, with 1200 students enrolled in 30 occupational programs and a transfer curriculum.” Learn more

AIAM Member News✈️: GE Aviation will become GE Aerospace to reflect the company’s aim to expand beyond aircraft engines. The name change will occur when GE completes restructuring in early 2024. “We are going to have a wider strategic aperture,” said General Electric chief executive Lawrence Culp on 18 July.
