What is Drone Soccer?
Drone Soccer is an innovative and engaging educational program that combines STEM education, teamwork, and aviation technology into a high-energy classroom experience and extracurricular sport. Students design, build, and pilot drones through classroom instruction while learning to think critically, collaborate, and develop real-world technical skills. With a focus on problem-solving and strategy, Drone Soccer provides a unique hands-on learning experience for students of all skill levels.
Real Impact:
The Drone Soccer program aligns with Michigan’s educational goals by integrating career development into the K-12 setting and preparing students for high-demand careers in the aerospace and STEM fields.
AIAM Partner, CrewConcept, provides rigorous curriculum aligned with NGSS, CASEL and Industry (FAA and ICAO) standards. The material is organized in 12 units that can be followed or tailored to any educational program needs.

Why Drone Soccer?
The Aerospace Industry Association of Michigan (AIAM), in partnership with CrewConcept, is bringing Drone Soccer to Michigan schools to inspire the next generation of innovators and aerospace professionals.
Program Benefits:
- STEM Skills Development: Students gain practical experience in coding, engineering, and drone piloting.
- Career Exploration: Aligns with FAA standards and exposes students to pathways in aerospace, robotics, and technology.
- Teamwork and Leadership: Encourages collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
- Accessibility: Open to middle school, high school, and post-secondary students.

What is the AIAM Opportunity?
Program partner CrewConcept offers a turn-key curriculum that can be implemented as a co-curricular unit for STEAM classrooms, as an after-school club, summer camps, or a career technical education credential class. The flexibility of implementation allows educators to determine how best to leverage the program in their community to meet their specific goals.
The Aerospace Industry Association of Michigan (AIAM) is bringing visibility to this innovative program and working to reduce barriers to launch in Michigan schools. Through AIAM’s charitable foundation, grants will be available to reduce the expense of launching this program in educational settings.
