A Message From Tony

Hello, AIAM Network!

It has certainly been an exciting few months for AIAM. As you may know, our member directory went live as a downloadable PDF from the website in March. We are also preparing to launch an online database in the coming months.  It is our newest tool being developed which will provide filters to search for specific products and services available from our amazing members! All of this is proving to be a valuable resource for members to directly reach out to one another and for the general public to learn more about our growing network

AIAM has been fortunate enough to support and host a number of excellent events across the state. Some of the most exciting ones were our two aerospace industry luncheons held at the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center in Plymouth and Makino at their Auburn Hills technology center. In April, we were given the opportunity to support the 2019 Pure Michigan Business Connect Aerospace Summit at Ford Field in Detroit. Several of our board companies participated as buyers and held one-on-one meetings with hundreds of prospective suppliers.  Not only was this a great way to connect and expand the AIAM network, but we were proud to see board members, Jeff Simek from RCO Aerospace, receive the Aerospace Supply Chain Achievement Award and Lorelei Richey from Pratt & Whitney as a featured speaker during the main program.  AIAM also supported the 2nd Annual Michigan Space Forum in Traverse City as a lunch sponsor. This event focused on Michigan’s growth in the space industry as our state  inches closer to becoming the nation’s “Third Coast” with a licensed spaceport.

As always, we are so appreciative of the support from all of our members and sponsors. We could not be more grateful to have such wonderful and innovative members. Michigan Congressman, Jack Bergman recently commented on how impressed he was by AIAM’s geographical coverage and diversity of our member and board companies. We look forward to what the future has in store for AIAM and the aerospace industry in the great state of Michigan!

Warmest Regards,

Tony Vernaci
