On Monday, June 10 AIAM hosted its 2nd Annual Golf Outing at Eagle Eye Championship Golf Course in Bath, Michigan. Attendance was up nearly 60% over last year, giving AIAM exclusive use of the entire course. The 120 registered golfers from across the state included 64 companies, 5 government agencies and an intermediate school district.
The day concluded with a networking reception and guest speakers. Trudy Kortes, Program Executive at Space Technology Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters, provided a video and presentation on NASA’s plan to return to the moon by 2024. Jean-Francois Hould from the Midwest Regional Office for the Government of Quebec discussed their developing relationship with AIAM and intent to form an economic alliance with member companies. Tony Vernaci also showed a brief video on an effort to fight human trafficking in Nepal organized by Our Daughters International. The video highlighted “Racing for Change” and link for an upcoming race to support the cause.
